Train stations and terminals, in general, have a bad reputation because the users usually have a bad experience and there is a lot of conflict between different people and interest security, travelers, custom office operators, and employees. Moreover, train stations as other public buildings get dictated by there function, but this shouldn't be the case, so we are trying to make the train station more pleasant experience through integrating a public park in the design while minimizing energy consumption.
After the end of this studio we have continued developing on the wind catcher unit with the help of my instructors and the most notable finding was that:
The cooling device managed to decrease the inlet air temperature and resulted in an average difference of 6.1 Celsius for interior spaces.
